Die Legenda aurea of Legenda sanctorum is 'n versameling hagiografieë deur die Italiaanse teoloog Jacobus de Varagine wat in die Middeleeue wyd in Europa gelees is. Meer as duisend manuskripte het bewaar gebly.[1] Dit is waarskynlik tussen die jare 1259 en 1266 saamgestel, hoewel die teks deur die eeue bygewerk is.[2][3]
